The Test of Life Reveals Character

A thought weighed heavily on me recently as I was praying, reading Scripture, and preparing for my next sermon: the trials of life often reveal the depth—or the lack—of our character. Trials have a way of exposing what is truly in us. They reveal our deepest desires, our hidden fears, and even the things we want that may not align with the will of God. In those moments, God gives us an opportunity to be honest, to confess what is in our hearts, and to surrender our desires to His purposes. Every day, we are called to lay ourselves before Him again, trusting that He is faithfully directing our steps and teaching us to pursue Him even when the path is difficult.
